About us
We’re Charles and Hervé, with our son, Oliver, and our dog, Cooper. For many years, Waterside House has been our second home — a place for holidays, long weekends and time together, somewhere to slow down, breathe in the sea air and take a break from the pace of everyday life.
Charles spent his childhood weekends sailing to and from the Isle of Wight, and the island has been part of his life ever since. After 25 years living and working abroad with the UN, we bought the apartment at Waterside House in 2018 as a weekender and holiday home. We’ve since also opened our apartment to paying guests and hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do.
Explore Cowes, discover a quiet beach or clifftop walk — or simply settle on the balcony with a coffee or glass of wine and watch the yachts, ferries and cruisehips pass across the Solent. Most of all, we hope you’ll feel at home at Waterside House.
